Nilec at 208 years old is an Ellaern who through her knowledge of tactics and visions of the future conquered the northern Kingdoms with her fiancé, a vampire named James Red Rose Quele Cross. Together she and James ruled with an iron fist. Nilec murdered her husband two years ago, though the reasons are not known publicly. Sole ruler now, Nilec has been referred to as the ‘Green Eyed Witch’ because of her Druidic and Prophetic powers. Due to her prophetic visions, she suffers from episodes of seizures. Her mind having shattered when she was young she is lost in the Abyss, where she hears and sees things no one else does. More widely feared than admired by the people of her country she is known as cold and hauntingly bitter.
King Nathanael Peter Quele Royale AnteRaised to believe Destiny was unavoidable, this young man followed the will of his God in all except one thing. At 18 he leads his companions to stop the Scourge War and by doing so saves the world, Cor’terrae. Foretold to kill the Lich Drefan, the boy refused his Deity Reinn Anon and forgave his enemy instead. Known as the 'The Boy King’ he was beloved by the people. It was known that during the war, Nathanael had suffered and lived horribly before regaining the throne. Due to this, Nathanael was a benevolent leader. But Destiny ended the boy’s rule and life at 22 just as he began to know his true potential. Nathanael left behind his son Joscelin, his adopted son Kallion ap'Eibhlhin, and his bastard daughter Gardarine by a man unknown.
Damion AnteDamion Ante is a three hundred year old vampire. Created and honed into an assassin by his vampiric master, he was the perfect definition of a monster. His first encounter with Nathanael was finding the adolescent on the western beaches contemplating suicide. Listening to everything Nathanael had been through and what the Gods expected of him, Damion found himself, strangely, wishing to offer the boy hope instead of death. If Nathanael would follow his destiny, Damion said that he would do what he could to be there for him. 4 years later, Damion would fight by Nathanael’s side to stop the Scourge War and save the world. With the help of Nathanael’s companions, he freed himself of his Master’s sadistic influences and began to learn how to be human once again. Calling Nathanael his ‘Angel,’ he spent those last 4 years trying to convince the young man that he was not a monster. With Nathanael’s death, a broken vampire was left behind. Unsure of himself, he thinks believes that Joscelin, Kallion and Gardarine would grow to be ashamed of having a vampiric assassin as a parent and so he stayed away…
Generation Two
Mallie Dorhiss Dsion Quele Ty’aroMallie is the daughter of Queen Nilec by a traveling actor that she has never met but yearned to know. She was raised by King James the Insane, who was going to sell her into marriage at 14, so at 13 she fled from her world. She realized she left her brother to suffer abuse in silence and alone, but as a child herself, she could do nothing other than run. Kallion found her at 18 and forced her to come home and face her demons. Kallion tried to court her, to support her while she was back under James’s roof but that year nearly broke her. Unable to handle the emotional and mental manipulation Mallie fled south breaking things off with Kallion. Learning how to defend herself from other women, she became confident and would go world traveling as an Actress.
Prince Jay James Red Rose Quele Cross
(King Rene Durand)At 27, Rene is 3 Years older than Mallie. Rene wants to be known as a man ‘reborn’. Cursed by the Gods, born both Ellaern and Vampire. Prince Jay James Red Rose Quele Cross, Mallie’s half-brother was named after his father, James. James was a man who lost his mind to grief, shattered, and became known as ‘King James the Insane’. James forced his son to be his mirror in every way. But Rene broke away and wishes now to be his own man. A new name, a new future, a new person. He attempts to apologize for the damage he has caused to his family, his marriage, and himself. Above all else, he wishes to be a good father to his daughter Siliv and his son Kcri by Joscelin. Something James could never be. A good Father.
Sovereign Joscelin Quele Ante II.Joscelin Quele Ante II is the son of Nathanael, who was known as the ‘Boy King.' Joscelin was left without Nathanael at 3. Joscelin is a reborn Ellaern who in his past life was both King and General Joscelin Quele I. This makes him 25 years old in this life and 179 years old in total. Last life he freed a young Nilec from bondage and adopted her while waging an eleven year war. Only to be assassinated as that war came to a close. He is a Blade Dancer, an elite Ellaern defender who is seen as emotionless. Known as a protector and one of the only honorable influences in Mallie’s life. Joscelin is in an arranged political marriage to Rene for peace. Their marriage is very rocky and tightly civil in public. Behind the emotionless front is an altruistic protector who will do anything for his Kingdom and his family. He has two children, Siliv and Kcri.
Kallion ap'EibhlhinKallion who is 26 is a Half Archangel, the son of the Archangel of Reinn Anon, Tie'iel. His mother died in childbirth and his father, as an Archangel was unable to return to his child’s side. Kallion would end up enslaved as a child but was saved by King Nathanael. However, Nathanael was ill and died leaving him, Joscelin, and a bastard daughter Gadarine behind. He became close to his Mallie. Kallion studied and practiced to become a Paladin someday as was expected of one with angelic blood. This made him quite judgmental, cocky, and harsh. Mallie and Kallion would attempt to court but Kallion’s over-protectiveness would entrap Mallie and she would break things off with him. Years later, due to Reinn Anon’s behavior, Kallion is not as rightous any longer. This allows he and Mallie to become friends once again as Kallion still deeply loves her. Kallion would have a son by Reinn Anon named Panari who would become known as The Demi-God of Truth.
Gadarine (Darbinian)Gardarine was Nathanael’s daughter by a man unknown. With Nathanael dying months after she was born, the truth was never to be known as to who her father really was. Promptly given to the servants to raise, the bastard child knew her lowly status early. She would watch the female militia train as a child and the General, Lianna Ebonheart and her mate Caycee would take her under-wing. Gardarine as a teen was opinionated and had quite the potty mouth, and the castle militia refused to promote the martial artist. She would have to enter a secluded monastery, giving a vow of silence for the duration of her stay to receive the training she sought. After three years, she would return with increased discipline and confidence, and seek out the militia in the city slums where she would offer to train their men. Given the command position, Gardarine saved and bought a small home so her beloved, Iardacil, the daughter of Riq'ua Riviria, an Ellearn lord. Iardacil gives up her nobility to be with Gardarine and they have a family in the slums.
Generation Three
Princess Siliv Quele DurandDaughter of Joscelin, and Rene, Siliv is Half Ellaern and Half Vampire. When she was born, Joscelin had postpartum depression, and consequently, they have never been close. Siliv was born with damaged vocal cords and cannot speak, and she is also albino like Rene. At a young age, Siliv realizes she is a 'Still Painter,’ a being who could create a paintbrush and canvas that were part of her very will. She with these tools can create and destroy nearly anything. Joscelin teaches her to fear her powers, to never use them to take or create life. Siliv grows up quiet and reserved as those of the light attempt to kill her, the monster. After three young men corner her at noon when she was sixteen and severely beat her, Siliv grows bitter. Yet unwilling to use her powers to kill if only because of her fears of family backlash, she retreats further into her shell. Hacking her waist-length hair to nothing, the albino gives up on ever being accepted. Shortly thereafter she flees the world of Cor'Terrae, using her paintings to step between worlds.
Prince Kcri QueleKcri is an avatar of the God of Storms, Holy Light, and Angels, Reinn Anon. Son of King Joscelin and his adviser Lord Riq’ua, Kcri, ‘Loved One’ was conceived to be the heir as his elder sister would never be allowed to take the throne being a monster (Half Vampire). Rene treats the boy as his son, so Kcri will never know, he is not. Kcri was very sheltered in his youth to give him a childhood that the other Quele family members never had. Once he was allowed into the city and saw that the people suffered he demanded to know why this happened and began to use the coin he was given as personal allowance toward projects in the city. He would furthermore spend time with the sick and dying to try to heal them with the powers of his God because he was immune to sickness. When he took the throne at two hundred, Kcri decided that the best thing for his Empire was to solidify alliances. Kcri had previously fallen in love with a lowborn bastard, Aud Grim and knowing he could not marry the man he loved, would enter into an arranged marriage contrary to his parent's wishes for his happiness.

Full Name: Sovereign Joscelin Quele Ante II
Species: Ellærn Scion.Ellærn are a species that are specific to their home world. As a Scion, this means he has the blood of the ‘King of the Heavens’, The Deity of Storms, Angels, and Light, Lord Reinn Anon in his veins. This makes him susceptible to dark magic.Sex: Ellaern can change their sex at will with full control over this process. This allows the individual to target parts of their body or certain sex characteristics. The Ellaern can appear completely androgynous or have pronounced sexual characteristics as humans do in facial and body hair or breasts.Joscelin has decided to present as a fully androgynous male, with no body or facial hair, a flat chest, slightly more pronounced hips, and male genitals. It is unlikely he will shift to a female form unless he wishes to bear a child.Current Age: 25 (177)Joscelin is a reborn soul with every memory in tact from his past life, including his death.Height: 6’2 feet.
Weight: 140 pounds.
Hair: Straight silver hair to his shoulders.
Eyes: Lavender, purple when joyful, dark purple when lustful and dull to grey when sad.
Skin: Fair Rose.
Other Physical Details:Ellaern with their average height of 6’2 have 0.8 the bone density of humans, allowing for this increased height with lower body mass in an environment with 70% the gravity of Earth. They have elongated limbs and a longer thorax with an unusually skinny frame that makes them appear lean and almost spindly. Their joints are loose (highly flexible) and some are even naturally hyper-extended, (which lowers the strength in the limbs if being used past a 180-degree angle.)However, Joscelin’s wrist bones feel thicker to the touch than the other bones of his body from constant breakage and re-healing in pain training.Weapons & Abilities:Nyamese Miljem (Augustly Razors) - Dual Curved blades that have a double-edged design, where the handhold is the center of the blade with a hand guard. This affords a 360-degree smooth attack style, spinning the blades to inflict numerous, quickly, and carefully placed wounds with razor-sharp edges. They are a tactical weapon designed for defense while whittling away at your foe. Said to be death by a Thousand Cuts. With the proper aim and force/speed, the length of the blade will slice and gouge out tracks in armor and target defenses while minimizing momentum and power loss simply by reducing how much friction can act on the weapon during use. This is essentially why they are only used by Blade Dancers, for their dizzying, whirling, blitz attacks.Ranger Magic - Rudimentary control over wind and weak healing abilities.Light Magic - With a heritage of a Scion, Joscelin can with patience and practice form portals of holy light that can be used to travel between worlds.Travel Methods: Joscelin uses the power of Holy Light to travel worlds.Sexuality: Pansexual.
Occupation: Sovereign of the Holy Camar’ian Empire. The last apprentice Blade-Dancer, a once Elite Ellaern Defensive battalion.Personality:
Joscelin has a firm grasp on how to keep his emotions and thoughts well-contained in perfect composure. Those who do not know him regard the Ellaern Monarch as overly stoic and quite regal, befitting his title as both Sovereign and Blade Dancer. Blade Dancers, elite Ellaern Defenders, were said by the Ellaern common to control and deny their own emotions, portraying the warriors as silent statues. This is incorrect, Blade Dancers allow the spark to come and go, they are not controlled by their emotions and yet they do not shove them away. Joscelin could feel all the emotions of the spectrum but he does not feel the need to pronounciate them through outward expression.Because of his station and arranged marriage, Joscelin is accustomed to not paying attention to matters of intimacy or flirtation as though he did not have feelings. This is false, and at the core, the Monarch has a kind heart that once you have gotten close to, you learn is rather fragile. Joscelin is selfless, and he believes that every one of his people’s lives means just as much as his own.Yet this mindset, that everything Joscelin holds dear he must protect with his every breath, made having children terrifying. A completely defenseless-innocent that so desperately needs his protection, were they just another burden upon heavy shoulders? The Monarch is known as the Altruistic Protector. He wears himself thin. If the Blade Dancer could lay down his life for those whom he rules, protects, and loves, he would consider it the greatest honor. A perfect death. All of his responsibilities and duties are taken to heart. This can leave the Monarch overwhelmed between the throne, his family, and his children. Heavily doubting his abilities as a parent, Joscelin consequently believes his daughter Siliv and son Kcri are better off without him…
Children:3 year old Siliv - (Mute, Half Ellaern Half Vampire.)
6 month old Kcri (Full Ellaern.)Background:Joscelin has lived two interwoven lives. In the first, he was High King Joscelin I, Sovereign-General of the Holy Camarian Empire. In his second he was reborn with prior memories and the same physical appearance, named Sovereign Joscelin II, Altruistic-Monarch of the Holy Camarian Empire. In his first life Joscelin was given to the Blade Dancing academy with no knowledge as to who he was, only referred to as ‘Silver’. The children that were brought to the academy learned to wield special blades in a defensive swirling style, basic magics, to read and write, and the philosophy of the Blade Dancers. They were united by their species and lost their names and family lineage, called 'Jade/Sapphire/etc’ for a matter of their appearance. The training was brutal and would later be called barbaric by the common who decried the harsh methods and shut it down. All duels were live and if an apprentice failed, they died. Joscelin was taught to never allow his emotions to rule his mind, and fear was 'trained’ out of him. Joscelin’s parents, High King Adair Quele and High Queen Tarja Quele of the Camar'ian Empire would be assassinated. With their deaths, the Sovereign Guard came for him, an adolescent who had never stepped foot outside of the Ellearn homelands. Yet, although Joscelin had never met a human, he would have to ascend the throne of an Empire of man.Joscelin after learning of the pillaging of his northern borders by Dirians would fight his council and lead a battalion of men north into the hot zone. It was there that Joscelin came upon a sacked village and saw war for the first time. In this forgotten village of mankind, the young Monarch meets a human priest named Wil’helm who he protected from the bullying of his Ellaern comrades and befriended. Joscelin I took Wil’helm as his consort, planning on marrying the human after the war that he must fight against Diria. Joscelin spent the majority of his first life in brutal training and then the last 11 years at war. He saved a young Ellaern girl from abuse and adopted her as his daughter, whom Wil'helm renamed Nilec.Joscelin counts that he saw his beloved for less than a year in 11 years and he did not have the chance to raise his children. The Monarch was murdered, attempting to protect Wil’helm only days after the end of the war. This left his 7-year-old son Peter Quele parentless, who was manipulated by the High Patriarch of the church of Reinn Anon. Nilec would retreat into the Mellim'disiel alone, losing the only family she had.Thirty-eight years later Joscelin’s grandchild, Nathanael came to him in Paradise begging for him to be reborn as the land would need a strong Monarch after the Scourge War, which nearly destroyed Cor'Terrae. Joscelin would return to serve his people once more.In his second life, Joscelin’s 'mother’ died when he was three. With his father largely absent, Joscelin took up responsibility for his siblings alongside the Blade Dancing Grand Master. Joscelin began to train once more at 8 with Lord Riq’ua Riviria, becoming the last Blade Dancing apprentice. Joscelin was born with not only his memories, which included his death but his 'mother’s’ nightmarish memories. These horrors have led him to become the Altruistic Protector. Believing that his happiness means little in the face of an entire Empire, he has agreed to uphold the peace agreement his 'mother’ signed with Diria. Having fought against the Dirians last life, Joscelin never wished his people to suffer such a war again. At 21 years of age, Joscelin II entered an arranged marriage with a vampire, the Prince of the Empire of Diria. He learns that Prince Jay is the son of Queen Nilec, his adopted daughter from his last life! It is for this reason that, although all Joscelin had heard by way of rumor that the northern Prince was a monster, he gave the Northern Prince a chance. With his guard down, their wedding night would be a disaster. Joscelin now remains wary and un-trusting of his husband for the abuse he sustained at Jay’s hands the night he conceived their daughter, Siliv. But once again Joscelin will uphold the marriage for the chance of peace between the Empires. So it stands that in private their marriage is clipped with words that lead to vicious arguments, but in public, the marriage appears a wondrous success. Both royals are trained in holding face in court, Joscelin’s back tall, head high and he refuses to show the fear he has for the vampire who can overpower him. So Lord Riq’ua, the eldest of the Ellaern on Cor’terrae would teach Jay patience, love, and kindness. Jay would try to curb his violent nature. After the birth of Siliv, Joscelin is unable to communicate with his daughter because of how she came to be. The Monarch draws into himself and watches as Jay transforms himself into a better man and it is Joscelin’s pride he knows that embitters his heart at how this once sadistic monster could be a better parent than he. Jay has taken a new name and he even attempts to repair a relationship that Joscelin only wishes to work for their daughter and their Empires. Rene is unable to ask for Joscelin’s forgiveness which Joscelin will never be able to give. Joscelin knows that Rene is trying to change and that the vampire wishes for Joscelin to love him but the Ellaern Monarch will never be able to love a man who abused him regardless of who he has now become.Siliv who is half vampiric will never be able to take the throne so a plan is concocted. Joscelin has a child with Lord Riq’ua in secret for politics, while Rene and he both say that Kcri is his and Rene’s so that a full Ellaern can take the throne. Joscelin tries to be parental to Siliv and Kcri like he had been to his siblings and cousin, but he feels overwhelmed with his own skin and blood children. The youthful Sovereign retreats, and leaves their rearing to Rene who takes to it, rather ironically, much more naturally than he does.

It is one of his endearing qualities, his maturity, and yet also his love of life even through life’s pain. The Prince realizes his masochism is a sin within his religion, in that he allows his internal light to escape with each stroke of the knife on his skin. Gardarine DarbinianBackgroundNathanael was the only child of King Peter and Queen Elaina of the Holy Camar’ian Empire, and he was born ill. Deep within fevers by age three, it was deemed a miracle that he woke from them. He was diagnosed with ‘Consumption’ and hidden away so that his failing immune system would not be further compromised.Nathan, at nine years of age, is told he will die. The only option for his survival was invasive in the usage of surgery, which was not deemed a viable option because of religious belief. This means that surgery would under their belief system, leave the boy simply a shell, with no soul to make them a person, and was deemed unacceptable.Nathanael not long after his birth had been married to the Prince of the southern Empire of Royale for peace. His husband Thom and Drefan, Thom’s older brother were more parents to Nathanael than his own due to royal responsibilities. Yet even still he wished for Elaina and Peter’s warmth and approval. But any attempts at acceptance and approval would be shattered when Nathanael found out he did not only enjoy pain but craved it. He was unable to escape the fixation which featured his blood as the fuel for the corrupt magic he should not be able to use. Thom would end up concerned but supportive; Drefan would show Nathanael his scars and the two differing individuals grew close for their similarities.Nathanael’s mother, Elaina, got a look at Nathan’s self-inflicted cut and Nathanael listened at the door to his parent’s room, worried about their reactions. Elaina raises concerns and Peter in shocked reply calls his son a Monster. This judgment would never be passed on directly, and those words were never said to Nathanael’s face, yet the pronouncement from behind a closed door is a pivotal moment that would affect the rest of the child’s life. Naturally, the boy grows apart from his parents, and yet he would never stop loving them, even if Peter could no longer stand to touch him.Nathanael would soon his destiny told to him by his adopted sister Nilec, a Seeress.“Lose what matters most to your heart, nearly lose the soul, and be repaired by one you once knew. Broken and battered you shall love again, and battle a battle no one else can fight. Take back the throne, love, and have a son. You shall lose all once more, two days after your twenty-second birthday. You shall die.”Nathanael, believing he is a Monster, knows he has no right to fight this fate and accepts this path almost…gratefully. The Prince would soon learn of the long-term abuse sustained by Drefan and Thom by their father. At only ten, Nathan becomes a confidant of Drefan, who in turn, tutors him in languages, and history. Drefan worked hard to teach Nathan that the world was not black and white and that good and evil are often far more complicated.Twelve-year-old Nathanael helps Drefan protect Thom after their father sexually abuses Thom again, and it is that evening that the father of the boys, Robert goes missing. Nathan realizes too late that Drefan was the one who kidnapped and killed the southern Emperor but knows he can say nothing and he becomes fearfully quiet. With King Robert dead, his parents seize control of the Royalian throne by proxy. They begin to change and destroy what made Drefan’s people unique. Nathan can only watch as Drefan is powerless to stop any of this as King Peter and Queen Elaina militarily occupy Drefan’s homeland. Nathanael can see that Drefan is going to mentally break as Thom who suffered from a simple injury turns septic. There is little time between the wound getting worse and Thom’s death. It is the year that Nathanael turns 13 that Thom dies and Drefan falls into the Abyss, losing not only his mind but the mind of the God that had resided within him.Nathanael is pushed beneath a bed in the healing wing by Drefan’s mother Aidna. The boy listens to the screams, hands over his ears. Drefan had become a lich and was now exacting his revenge upon a people who had butchered his people for centuries and bullied him endlessly. Nathan is grabbed by Sir Atrious, his parent’s lover, and is carried toward the teleportation circles. Nathan knows that Drefan butchered his parents that day as he was rushed to safety.Drefan would now go on a rampage to destroy their world, his mind deep in the abyss. Those the lich kills, he rises from the dead and Drefan’s army grows. For three years Nathan survived on his own not knowing who he could trust as his world was torn apart; Nathanael refused to let any noble know the heir was still alive. Even as Drefan destroys the countryside, a civil war breaks out.It is only after a few years that he begins to travel, needing to see the damage the Scourge War is causing his world. He goes deep into Royale, making for the God of Death’s temple where he studies as a Priest. Becoming a Death Dweller he helps common people with their understanding and acceptance of death. The death of their loved ones or their own. It helps Nathanael to accept his coming death.Yet he can feel his soul becoming more wrapped in darkness every time he hurts himself. But with time came practice and Nathanael learned to control that source of darkness that was corroding the light within. He had to stop Drefan. He had to save his world from the only family Nathan had left.
Nathanael knew he could not kill Drefan, no, the young man understood this lost soul, as he was there watching Drefan’s descent into madness. So for Thom’s sake, Nathanael had to forgive Drefan and set the older man free. For Cor'Terrae, Nathan would sacrifice everything, even his own life to stop this terrible war, because then, just maybe, he too could finally be forgiven…~~~Drefan had turned his back on him, the day Nathanael saved the lich’s mind from the Abyss. That day when the Prince had forgiven the man who had not only killed his parents but butchered more than half of the population of his world. He knew he could not go after Drefan, as his people needed him. His parent’s empire has been torn apart by Drefan’s forces and civil war. He needed to rule. To rebuild. So the young man had to look ahead and no longer behind him.

He also can improvise weapons if he must.Travel Methods: Drefan uses the power of the Void or ‘The Darkness’ that is his innately, being a human with a Soul void of all light. Those born Royalian, and descendants of the Fallen Arch-Angel Taedras forsook the light millenniums ago to have this power.
Sexuality: Bisexual.Occupation: Prince of the Second Blood. Drefan is an honorary official in the Royalian Imperial government. He advises the Royalian Emperor on Cor'Terrae.Personality:
In his younger years, if you did not know Drefan well, all you would see was anger. His people called him ‘The Bitter Prince’ as they saw the sorrow and the pain that Drefan could not explain to anyone. While speaking to older Drefan, it is unwise to bring up his past and he should be the one to speak of it first. Drefan has presented to the world that every choice he had ever made in his life was justified. That he has felt no regret for the role he played in the near destruction of his world. He believes, that no one could understand why he made the choices that he made. There were only ever four people in his life who could make him feel remorse. When he was younger, there were three: his mother, his brother, and Nathanael. Nathanael made Drefan remember what he had done while in the grips of insanity and this made him despise the boy as he tried to hide from the truth of the slaughter. At 50 years of age, these individuals are long gone. It is only to the Priestess Amaya that he has voiced any of his regrets but with no willingness to admit this fact to her or others.Drefan, contrary to the belief of the majority of his enemies has loved deeply in his life, so deeply he took on great shame and suffering. His only relationship ended tragically and has left him bitter toward the idea of romance. Due to his father’s abuse, Drefan has always believed that love/hate and pain/pleasure are the same.Hate is something Drefan believes to be in action, not in view. He hated the actions of the Camarians upon his people but not the Camarians themselves.Unfortunately, to stop said actions, the Camarians had to die. In such a way he could have once been forgiving of those who forced him down the path to madness. But that forgiveness dissipated as Camarians conquered and crushed his people. Now he is unwilling to forgive himself for his atrocities against his people and the world. If Drefan was unwilling to forgive such actions by others how could he forgive himself for the same?
BackgroundDrefan was born a Prince of the Second Rank (Blood) to Emperor Robert Royale of the Imperial Royalian Empire. He was the Emperor’s second son by his Imperial Concubine Aidna Royale. Robert would go on to marry Lady Lucina during Aidna’s pregnancy and they would become fast friends. Empress Lucina gives birth to Prince of the First Rank and Heir, Thom Antsrev Royale. Empress Consort Lucina dies in childbirth. The loss of his wife and Empress has been said to have destroyed the Emperor. It is after this that Robert starts to be verbally and emotionally abusive to Aidna and Drefan. The boy is five when Robert first physically hurts him. Drefan would vow to protect his younger brother Thom from Robert’s abuse. Drefan realizes quickly that no one would believe what happened behind closed doors because to all but Aidna…none of it ever happened…This is due to the oath of loyalty. This oath connected the Royalians mentally to their Emperor. This was to be used to keep Royalians safe from magics that could potentially brainwash them by the Camar’ian forces who wished to liberate the southern people from the Dark God, Nanqa. In this instance the oath and mental connection allowed Robert to make his subjects forget his transgressions. But. Aidna was not one of his subjects, born in foreign lands and taking no such oath. So she whispered to her son what had happened to him, never wanting him to forget what Robert had done to them. But what Robert could not make Drefan forget was the scars, the physical truth of the pain done to him.A peace treaty with the north is brokered after a year of negotiations. Drefan’s younger brother Thom is married immediately to the heir of the Holy Camarian Empire, Nathanael Peter Quele. Thom at this time is five and Nathanael is a newborn.Drefan grows deeper in his rage as the abuse continues and time marches on. He earns the moniker ‘Bitter Prince’ from his people for his sullen ways. Only once does Robert hurt Thom and Drefan slams his father into the bedroom wall swearing to the 15 Divines he will kill him if Robert ever harms Thom again. He talks Robert into wiping Thom’s memory of the molestation, not wanting Thom to become bitter like him.Drefan is introduced to opium by trips to the Camarian capitol where the nobles treat him like garbage for his Royalian heritage. Drefan puts up with the racist spitting of the Camarians, forcing a smile as they call his people anything from child murderers to hell-spawn, likened to dogs that needed to be put down. The hate boils in his veins but sacrificing his dignity and worth to grovel at these bastards' feet he retains peace for Royale.Drefan travels north in search of one of his ancestor’s souls. It is in the deserts of the north that Drefan falls prey to opium addiction for nine months, his body on the verge of collapse as his liver, lungs, and kidneys are giving out on him. Thom manages to free a Black Guard from Robert’s mental control so the knight can go north to find Drefan and save the prince from himself.Drefan would go through a six-week detox, screaming hoarse his agony, begging and pleading for just one more puff, chained in a barn. Drefan suffers for the dulling of the pain and attempts to forget his past and future responsibilities. Drefan would once again hide his scars with makeup, entering back into his family’s life.Nathanael is told he will die by adulthood and Drefan decides that he will teach the northern prince about the Royalian people. He did not want Nathanael to condemn them out of ignorance. He teaches the Prince to read and write.Drefan begins the learning and rituals to become a liche as the opium has destroyed his organs and would kill him within months. He falls in love with an ancient Ellearn Lord and in finishing his rites to be a liche, he gives this Ellearn lord his soul. He tries to share why he refuses intimacy but Riq’ua, who is of a different species, betrays him. Riqu’a is unable to believe that Robert abuses his children, and tells Drefan that he lies. Drefan’s mind fractures that more from rage and he beats Riq’ua unconscious for his betrayal.Feeling regret for what he had done, he collapses after. It is here that Drefan felt something shift in his psyche. That night a wave of darkness came, like a comforting blanket that enveloped his senses and a youthful voice whispered, ‘I am here my son.’ Nanqa had heeded Drefan’s pleas for mercy this time and somehow the once betrayed and exiled God of Darkness, Undead, and Honor had returned to Cor’terrae. Now it would live housed within this mortal’s breaking mind.Robert abuses Thom again and Drefan begs Nanqa to give him the strength and power to save his family from this monster. So in an uncharacteristically impulsive move of Drefan’s, the King of Royale is kidnapped and murdered. But with the death of the Royalian Emperor, the treaty causes political difficulties. Who was going to rule Royale after Emperor Robert’s death? Prince Drefan is the son of a Concubine, a foreigner, and not in line for succession. His brother Thom, son of the Empress Consort is the heir. However Thom is not of age and he has no living, Royalian mother to be his regent.Under the influence of the High Patriarch of the Reinnien Church, The King, and Queen of the Holy Camarian Empire take over Royale. Civil war begins and Drefan knows it is his fault, that his selfishness had caused the deaths of thousands of his people. He must translate and support the military takeover of his home, acting the diplomat as he seethes inside.Peaceful as the guise may have been, Drefan knew that as Elaina and Peter took his brother Thom aside to teach him how to rule, they would systematically destroy everything Royalian about his beloved homeland. They would strip the culture and the faith of not only his sibling, but of his people, and sooner or later the cracks in Drefan’s chalice were going to snap it apart. It was in the holding of Thom’s hand as his brother dies in the Camarian royal infirmary that caused Drefan’s mind to finally shatter. It was his fault for not demanding that his brother have his injury be seen by healers. A wound that quickly turned septic. Thom’s death is the final nail in the coffin of his insanity. Everything was his fault and the hate he always felt manifested itself as both he and Lord Nanqa fell into the abyss. A God within a mortal’s mind? Is mortal. With power beyond imagination, Drefan butchers the Camarian court of all those who called him ‘Monster.’ A mad god kills all of those who had created the enemy that now destroyed them. Drefan raises them from the dead and with this army he marches to destroy the world that spurned them both.…...By the end of the Scourge War, five years later, Drefan will have killed 40% of the known world’s population. Once he has found the path to sanity through his and Nanqa’s defeat, he will realize that he killed more than 60% of his /own/ people. Drefan after Nathanael helped him climb from the Abyss, goes into hiding. Mind tortured by fear of the deity who had only wanted to help him and appalled at the devastation they had wrought, he remains curled up alone for ten years. Not needing to sleep or eat, he lays in his hell. The childhood room where he had been abused for years in the family home. His memory is slowly fading due to his lack of a soul, but he knows it is better not to remember; All he had to do was look around him to know he had a past best forgotten. But the grand-son of Nanqa, Samuel, rouses him and forces him back into the world against his wishes. Samuel in the years following the Scourge War has consolidated control of the Empire of Royale. Drefan bitter and ragged slowly becomes friends with a Liche named Sevak. Sevak is bitter and dark-humored like he and reminds Drefan daily that he is the reason Sevak’s wife is dead, and contrary to an earlier Drefan who would have felt guilty, Drefan laughs because he has nothing else he can give.Drefan gives into morbid laughter and Sevak who had raised his wife as an undead laughs with him because Sevak has her back so he does not care. Their morality is compromised, and the three creatures of the Void become best of friends. Samael takes the throne as Emperor of Royale, and Sevak and Drefan are made ministers. It is Sevak who tells Drefan that the Bitter Prince must take back his soul as he owes the Royalian people too much not to remember what he has done to them.Drefan faces Riq’ua, at last, so he can take back his soul. Riq’ua begs on his knees for Drefan’s forgiveness. Drefan unable to remember that night years ago gives his forgiveness for a betrayal that he has no idea of and leaves the Ellearn lord on his knees. Taking back his soul that night, Drefan’s body becomes living once again but not on the cusp of dying like before. But by taking back his soul, he remembers…everything.Samuel sees him through this horrific period of nightmares and a priestess named Amaya assists Drefan in seeking his forgiveness. Feeling love for a woman for the first time since his mother Drefan swears he will protect Amaya and she helps him slowly heal the mental anguish of his years. Drefan feels indebted to his people who forgave him for what he had done whilst not in his right mind. He does what he can to serve.

Full Name: King Jay James Red Rose Quele CrossKnown Name: Rene Quele DurandSpecies: Born an Ellaern VampireThe Goddess of Fate in repayment of her pawn (Nilec Quele) created Rene to be born both full Ellaern and Vampire. His body consequently wars against itself as on Cor'Terrae, to be at once living and undead should not be possible, and will eventually kill him.Sex: MaleEllaern can change their sex at will with full control over this process.
This allows the individual to target parts of their body or certain sex characteristics. The Ellaern can appear completely androgynous or have pronounced sexual characteristics as humans do in facial and body hair or breasts.Rene presents as an androgynous male, with a light layer of white body hair but no facial hair. He has a flat chest, slightly more pronounced hips, and male genitals.Current Age: 27Height: 5’11 feet.
Weight: 170 pounds.
Hair: Albino white.
Eyes: Mercury Pink.
Skin: Pale White.
Other Physical Details:Rene sometimes wears makeup as his features are so pale. He will wear eyeliner, and kohl (eyeshadow.) Rene has had his eyebrows which were so pale no one could see them, regularly shaved. He has black tattooed brows instead.Ellaern with their average height of 6’2, have 0.8 the bone density of humans, allowing for this increased height with lower body mass in an environment with 70% the gravity of Earth. They have elongated limbs and a longer thorax with an unusually skinny frame that makes them appear lean and almost spindly. Their joints are loose (highly flexible) and some are even naturally hyper-extended, (which lowers the strength in the limbs if being used past a 180-degree angle.) This bone density does not lower Rene’s strength because of his unnatural Vampiric abilities.
Rene’s has extensive scarring that covers his back and chest.Weapons & Abilities:Bone Claws - Rene can burst the bone through his fingertips creating bone claws that with supernatural strength can tear through metal.Blood Ability Zephyr - Rene can increase his supernatural speed to a point where he can defy gravity to run on walls if he uses his blood to do so. (Blood Abilities weaken him after usage.)Blood Ability Mesmerize - Rene can, by holding a target within his gaze implant false thoughts or commands. This cannot be used against Vampires, Ellearn, or Gods. (Blood Abilities weaken him after usage. This ability will be only used with permission!)The Beast - If Rene is deeply wounded or terrified his vampiric soul will take over. He will grow even more supernaturally fast and stronger than he already is. The Beast will fight until the threat is gone or they are dead, (killing Rene along with it,) ignoring the pain of any wounds whilst in this state. The Beast cannot and does not care who is friend or foe, the only difference being that of Blood-Related Family.Travel Methods: Rene uses the power of the Void or ‘The Darkness’ that is innate to his vampiric nature, to travel between worlds.Sexuality: Pansexual.Occupation: Rene is King only in name, of the Camarian Empire, leaving all political duties in the hands of his husband, King Joscelin. Rene rules as King and serves as High Assassin of the Dirian Empire with his mother, Queen Nilec Quele.Personality:
Rene tries to keep his beastly nature in check and wishes to be known as a gentleman. He has very good control of his temper now after a few years of training with powerful, ancient individuals. Rene will go out of his way at the first meeting to not make his being a vampire known to others. He is soft-spoken and can appear to be subservient in his kind deference unless he is provoked. He will stand up for himself, his daughter, and his mother stubbornly, and if he must battle, Rene will allow 'The Beast’ to take control. This split personality is another soul, the spirit that the Goddess of Fate forcefully thrust into the body of a new Ellearn babe. The primordial, Vampiric entity is trapped within this, now, young man. Virios, as it calls itself, is instinctual and was known for only mindless violence. But Rene has come to know that this being that can only speak brokenly will protect all children and infants or what it calls 'Shining lights’ with everything it has.Rene takes seriously his responsibilities as King, parent, and husband, but must take time to draw away to recenter himself. Being born vampiric Ellearn has left his mental state precarious, He hears screams and whispers in auditory hallucinations at times. The guilt he feels at the pain he has caused not only his husband but family has eaten away at him inside. In an attempt to make up for the damage he had already done, Rene forcefully stripped himself of his entire identity. Jay James became Rene Durand, a new life, and hopefully a second chance. He loves his husband, Joscelin whom he was married to in an arranged marriage. However, Rene realizes because of his former abuse of Joscelin, that Joscelin will never feel the same. There is a piece of him that still to this day tells himself, that Joscelin’s rejection is what a monster deserves.Rene is loyal to a fault, still feeling loyalty to his abusive parents even after his father’s death. His love for his mother blinds him to the psychological damage she does to him. Rene has been mind-controlled in the past and owned body and soul. In wishing to understand what such power feels like however, he may go too far. The act of killing has only ever been wrong…if you get caught.
Rene has learned little of honor or morals in the environment he grew up in. The rampant abuse in the household left him wary and tired, with hope but the tiniest of flames.
Children:Siliv (3 Year old Dhampir/Half Vampire)
Kcri (6 months, Full Ellearn.)BackgroundRene was born Jay James Red Rose Quele Cross, son of King James Red Rose Quele Cross and Queen Nilec Quele of the Empire of Diria. His name was entirely his father's, as Jay was initially meant to be but an extension of the man.In the Dirian Empire, his parents were known as King ‘James the Insane’ and the ‘Green Eyed Witch’. Nilec had asked her Goddess to bear her vampiric husband a son, which should not have been possible. Wan’an’iena, The Goddess of Control, Time, and Fate agreed to repay her puppet, the prophetess whom she had broken. Nilec before Jay’s birth, had manipulated James whilst the two conquered the desert Empire. Together they both had fallen into the abyss, where the insane thrash in the black seas.Jay was born to play the part of something Nilec could use against her husband as Nilec screamed at her husband at the birth, “You kill me James and I will take him with me!” The two’s fiery relationship goes cold as James begins to call her the 'Ice Cold Bitch" as she uses their newborn as a bargaining chip. The Prince grew up in a household of abuse and neglect, where the common feared him for being both a vampire and James’ son. Evenings of watching his parents' courtly mind games and the brazen killing of courtiers painted a sullied picture. His best friend was his half-sister, and although Mallie was younger than him, she was his aide and his protector. But the secret he lived with and she knew of would become too much and at eleven Jay attempted suicide by stepping out into the noon-day sun. Mallie stopped him.Jay, as he grew, became an angry replica of his father as James did all in his power to create in his son a perfect mirror. At 14 the Prince lost control of Virios and enraged nearly killed his sister. Mallie at this point fled their world leaving him behind to live in hell alone. He would begin killing as a way to feel empowered, hunting beggars and prostitutes in the dying capital city of the Empire. It was only with the faltering heart of another in his hand that Jay felt he had control of his own life as he always had James within his mind.Jay would head south as he became an adult, knowing he must marry for politics. At 24 years of age, he married Prince Joscelin of the southern, Camarian Empire in an arranged match. Their wedding night was a disaster, too much blood, too much wine, and never would there be an excuse for what he did that night. Yet even following that event, it would be Joscelin who would dig into the vampire’s wounds, exposing his weaknesses and his feelings of shame. This was the first person besides Mallie who found out the truth by the graphic scars upon his flesh. Jay struck out in terrified, shameful rage against the Ellearn when Joscelin took it upon himself to tell Nilec what James had done for years to their son without her knowledge.Nilec would go on to murder James with her bare hands as a result of the knowledge of her husband’s perversions. But yet a mind warped by abuse still loved, and Jay blamed himself for James’s death. If he could have only kept the secrets better, James would still be alive. Nilec assumed the throne of Dire Cry by ancient tradition, throwing down the head of the last king before the court. As no woman had held the Dirian throne, the prophetess knew she had to have help. She would convince Jay to assist her on the throne and he fell into the role of scrape goat, allowing the nobles to blame him when all went wrong. But with the birth of his first child, a daughter, Siliv, he knew he had to change. But how?The man Jay’s father had once loved, long ago offered to help Jay. Riq’ua Riviria, the most ancient Ellearn on Cor'Terrae would teach the Prince patience, love, and kindness. This was a making up for the failure of Jay’s father. Jay would try to curb his violent nature, appealing to Joscelin, wanting the marriage to succeed. Yet, they would argue still. He would take a new name for a new man. Rene, Rebirth. He refused to continue his father’s legacy with his children and came to find that he dearly loved children. He felt guilt as his daughter was half-vampiric and because of that she would have a cursed life as well. This guilt would only be compounded by his rocky relationship with Joscelin. Rene strives to repair the relationship that has fallen apart but believes he does not deserve a second chance after his initial abuse of his husband when he knew no better. Though in his heart, he yearns for that second chance he will never be given. In Diria, Rene took the title of King to be his mother’s worshiper, her captive, and her butcher. Assigned the position of her assassin, Rene even now still allows his leash to be held, to be yanked by the woman who had herself, lost her mind over a century ago. She had ultimately dragged her husband down with her into the Abyss because fate had dictated it would be so. Rene will not give up his parents regardless of the past and he still obeys her, even when he knows the cycle of manipulation and lies that were spun just continues…Once there was a mother, a father, and a son.
A tormented boy whose mind they were to destroy.
They meant to create within him a perfect mirror.
No dreams could heal all that shattered glass.
All his resistance, it seemed, only surrendered more screams.
The monster was caught inside the web the mother and father had spun.
But after so many years, he had grafted them into his lies.
Rene had nowhere to run.

She harnesses this, and through it, materializes on another world.Sexuality: Pansexual.Occupation: Queen of the Dirian Empire, Blood Druid, and Prophetess.Personality in Narrative):Nilec could faintly hear the distant screams and crash of lightning that came from the Abyss. Where ‘the shattered’ would see and hear another place entirely and prophets such as her would drown in the Abyss’ black seas. It took a great effort, at times, to surface from the choking, dark waters. To appear ‘normal.’ To speak words that were not wrapped in riddles, let alone, to speak anything at all.Outside of her universe, far from home, there were not the endless screams or the chatter of twisted forms. No clamor of a mind that was losing itself to insanity. She was able to think clearer, longer on worlds away from her own without falling exhausted due to her attempts at appearing sane. Yet nothing could hide her bearing; Nilec had been warped and formed into the Queen she had become. Losing all but her pride and she was unwilling to lose that at any juncture. The pine eyes were cold, haunted, and older than the shell she lived within, but there was a strength to her that held her head high and kept her shoulders back.It said…I will not be broken.Nilec was the ‘Green-eyed Witch.’ The cold and prideful Queen who had broken anyone in the way of her saving her world from destruction. She refused to feel regret or guilt for the thousands that had perished. The thousands that died so millions could live, the ends justified the means.I became stronger, but I gave up everything for this perverse strength in me. I am ruthless, selfish, cynical, untrusting and bitter. The Ellaern Druid’s connection to her world was one of two things that allowed her to still function when her mental state was so precarious. That and a connection to a deity. A Goddess of Fate who never played fair, a deity who broke her toys. Nilec hated her Goddess because of what her destiny made her do. She killed the mortal shell of Fate and Time before Nilec knew that the Goddess could reform itself. Now the same hate goes by in silence, as Wan’an’iena is the reason Nilec is alive.“I am real enough I suppose, though I have no doubts about my insanity.”
Children:Rene Quele Durand
Mallie QueleGrandchildren:Siliv (3 Year old Dhampir/Half Vampire)
Kcri (6 months, Full Ellearn.)BackgroundNilec was born Naerdial, ‘Lady of Sorrow’; the name given by the Priestess of Sila Vor, when the priestess was allowed that brief glimpse into each child’s web. Seeing their soul stone engraved with their destiny. For this Ellaern girl, the foretelling was an ominous one.Her parents had been poor but kind people living in the heart of the Ellaern homeland, Mellim’eldisiel. She, until her fortieth year, had a good childhood. At this time she fell into convulsions. Her parents could not stop them or understand why they happened. After multiple fruitless attempts of differing treatments, they left her on the stairs of the God of Death’s temple. They knew not what else to do and hoped the priests could help her. But it was not Sjel Nn’harma’s priests that took her, but the Goddess of Fate, Wan’an’iena’s. These priests found her saying what others took as gibberish as she convulsed and realized she was a prophetess. To be a prophet is to be revered, sympathized, and assisted, never to be abused because of the fragile state of their minds. But these priests did not heed this law and using a mixture of drugs and magic kept this little Ellearn child in a constant state of visions. Unable to control her body or her mind, Nilec could not escape. Abused, and neglected, the magic kept her barely alive. Just a source of the unknown and the coming times, a thing.
Fifty years? Sixty? Her mind had shattered sometime around eighty years, unable to stop, to move, to leave…Defenseless, hopeless, faithless. But soothing voices surrounded her; a Goddess and her world personified. They would help her regain the tendrils of her leaking sanity after a hundred years in this inner prison. But the pieces that molded my reality had been replaced, confusingly by a child’s hands when my mind had shattered. This had created a distorted picture, a crippled reflection of the truth.Nilec was saved by a King. A Blade Dancer-General, Sovereign Joscelin I would become her family with his consort Wil’helm. She was given her new name Nilec, and was dearly loved. But it was not meant to last. The couple was taken from her, murdered and she ran to the Mellim, the safety of her youth, alone. Her life had been a series of events woven in the tapestry of the Gods. A pawn that would obey and hardly ever question why. She was told by Wan’an’iena that her world was going to die and she must take part in its saving. In return for their aid in her youth, she would do what she was told, and mourn alone for the death of those she did not wish to see die. Nilec knew that seers could not change what was to come in their own lives, because seers could see all, except themselves. She is told that she must take a kind man, a vampire and change him so they can conquer the north-lands so her adopted family can save the world. Oh! Nilec had not meant for this, she meant only to change James, not destroy him! She had broken the man, shattered him to the very core of his being. It was not her intention, but it was destined and she had not stopped it. The Queen had watched as he raved at the night sky, tearing himself apart. James had lost himself then, falling into the Abyss. Into insanity, where she already resided.Nilec attempted to salvage the situation and would become pregnant with a son. James’s son was unnatural and cursed as Wan’an’iena had allowed the boy to be born undead. She gave birth to Jay, who looked so very much like his father. Perhaps this could be a way to keep control of James even in his brutality. When Cor’Terrae was saved from the Liche Drefan by Nathanael, Nilec should have died with her destiny complete, but Wan’an’iena still needed her puppet. So Nilec lived and as time wore on, the Ellaern hated more and more the man that she had created. But she had a daughter only a few years after Jay, if only to spite her vicious husband, as the girl was not James’. Mallie was born and Nilec laughed in his face at his rage. They lived a dance no one else could understand, a spirited tango that ended in blood and sex. They hated each other because hate was safer than love. She believed that she took the brunt of his sadism, and she took it in silence, impassive because her bitter cold bite was what James hated her for the most. Ice Cold Bitch, that was his name for her and she laughed and laughed not willing to allow him the satisfaction of her pain. But Mallie ran from their world, and Jay grew angrier, like his father, and distant from her. She toiled in the sands of the desert palace using her blood to nourish life. She still cared about the people of this Empire that were starving because of James, Nilec, and her Goddess. But James knew that the people and her children were her crutches. So when Sovereign Joscelin comes, telling her of her son’s scars, Nilec allowed herself to drown. The Queen sunk deep into the Abyss, the black waters taking her down into the oceans of maniacal fury. Sinking to the bottom so that she could butcher the defiler of her son with her own bare hands. With James dead the mother walked, carrying the head of the dead King into the throne room. It was an ancient tradition of Dire Cry; he who killed the last King would assume the throne. She threw the head at the feet of the Empire’s nobles, her eyes wild and clothes blood-drenched. She would have the throne! But as a woman, the nobles laughed and some were fool enough to attack. The Blood Druid boiled men from within, flashing out lightning from her fingertips. The Green-eyed Witch took the lands for herself and any who tried to stop her were part of the blood bath. The throne room was painted red in the same fashion as it was in the first days of James’s rule. Her son would learn of who James was before he lost his mind. That James had once been Emile, a good and kind man that Nilec had loved and twisted. Jay changed his name, to Rene, to be reborn for his children. But Nilec needed him and he, instinctively, needed her. A cycle, a need, her hound and scrape goat, she, his master, and his Queen. The Green-Eyed Witch ruled Dire Cry through fear, but she was changing ancient laws, and traditions that she despised. So she changes a land for the good through her tyranny.“I did what I had to in this life.”

They have elongated limbs and a longer thorax with an unusually skinny frame that makes them appear lean and almost spindly. Their joints are loose (highly flexible) and some are even naturally hyper-extended, (which lowers the strength in the limbs if being used past a 180-degree angle.)Consequently, the bones of an Ellaern’s hands would feel far more fragile to the touch, fingers easier to break than a human’s.Weapons & Abilities:Shadow Magic - Rudimentary control over shadow in the creation of portals from place to place or world to world. She loves acting and that is her preferred profession. She on her world is an opera singer but she does not do that occupation on other worlds.Personality:Mallie is a mix of confidence and insecurities. She does not allow most people close enough however to find those troubles. The Ellaern comes across as a soul of light that spins into your life and leaves only moments later. Mallie tries to always have a twinkle in her eye and confidence in her step that gives the impression that she is always joyful. As a learned actress, the 24-year-old does not like letting people get one over her. She will do everything in her power to not lose that carefree demeanor, or allow you to know you have frightened or upset her.Emotions were always something to be used against her and now hidden by her new skin, makeup, and clothes, she won’t let you under her skin. Her greatest joy is the stage and she will light up like a star when she talks about it. She refuses to live in the past and tries to not dwell on it. Mallie is afraid of becoming attached to someone and will likely flee a world before those on it mean too much to her. At the core, Mallie is terrified of love, but all she wishes for is a family…
BackgroundMallie is the daughter of Queen Nilec Quele of the Empire of Diria by world-traveling actor Dorhiss Dsion Ty’aro. She was the product of a one-night stand with a man who never knew Nilec intended to become pregnant. Born a bastard, her stepfather King James did not take well to his wife’s infidelity or having to keep Mallie around. A deal was bargained; in exchange for allowing Mallie to live, she would be given to one of the Empire’s border nobles to gain an alliance when she turned 14. This was decided upon her birth. As a child, Mallie would spend summers in the grasslands to the south that her cousin Joscelin was heir to. Only she but not her brother was able to get away from the harsh desert lands that were their home. When she was in the Camarian Empire, Kallion, her adopted cousin would become her best friend for he had nightmares too. A secret he did not want to share, they two lost children.Mallie held a terrible secret even as a child, terrified, she was scared into being silent, a secret she and her half-brother Jay shared. She was his protector and his aid as much as she could, being so young. But the secret became too much, and even trying to protect Jay it did nothing. But she would pull him in from the noon-day sun when Jay attempted suicide. Not willing to lose her brother. With time Jay became an angry replica of his father and at eleven he, who was a vampire, losing control himself, nearly killed her. Mallie because of this was even more terrified now, and could not take knowing she was only going to be an object for her future husband. At 13 she fled from her world leaving only a note behind saying, “I’m sorry Mama…”
Two years passed in the company of her first troupe, a time she will never speak of. But during that time she died. While her regenerative body tried to repair itself, in complete agony, she died. But the Goddess of Music, Ran’en’iena, re-started Mallie’s heart and while her body was unconscious it healed. But this left her with horrific scarring, as all injuries do once they regenerate. A man who found her paid to hide the damage with something dear to him. Mortimer Tyson Ryer, a man who would become Mallie’s father figure had magical makeup made so she could hide the past. The Ellaern girl blossomed like a rose amongst her new family of lost souls. She learned to act, do acrobatics, play the violin, and refine her singing. Mallie lived with them traveling worlds searching for her biological father until 18. Kallion, her adopted cousin, friend, and crush found her on a distant world. But their Reunion was not like anything either had imagined. They ended up taking out the brunt of their pain on each other through verbal war.But eventually, Kallion persuaded Mallie to come home, as her mother and brother thought her dead. She returned so very reluctant, filled with fear for the secret she had left behind for just her brother to bear. Back in the halls of ‘home’, she could barely sleep and she could swear that the walls screamed, but no one else could hear them. Kallion asked for Mallie’s hand and they began to court. Not long into the relationship, the two begin to take out their insecurities on each other. Kallion was possessive and protective, and Mallie, who was scared, still wished for independence. A year back in Dire Cry nearly broke her, making her into a woman she had fought so hard not to be. She was jumping at shadows, terrified and hating of men. At last, she could take no more.Kallion and Mallie broke up and went their separate ways. Mallie traveled alone through the southern lands acting and singing. But she had done great damage to herself over the years. She had been told by James she was ugly her whole young life. When Mallie realized she could regenerate she began to wear corsets so tight that they would break her rib bones. Breaking them, then the corset would hold them in place to heal back in the shape of the done-up corset. The Ellaern had deformed herself so badly that she would fall unconscious on stage from lack of oxygen. Kallion had thought something was wrong but she would not listen to him.It was her cousin Joscelin who pleaded with her at last, scared the damage would kill her. The surgery was extensive to re-break and force her ribs back into shape with steel re-enforcing. Through this ordeal, she would meet Lady Milistree, her world’s top surgeon, a woman who would become one of her best friends. Milistree told Mallie that she could do reconstructive surgery, and skin grafting to hide her scars. The ‘replaced’ skin would come from a recently deceased Myr Ellearn, as the Myr donated their corpses to specialists if they did not wish to be ‘brought back’ as ceremonial warriors called Deathless. As this was a race that lived deep in the swamps and shadows, Mallie would be uniformly snow-white. The actress worked and saved for three years to have enough gold to do this. Once again the work done upon her was extensive and she had to be unconscious for much of it even with her higher pain tolerance. After years of James whispering to her that she was ugly for her weight which led her to deform herself to be beautiful Mallie would try to accept herself now. She had caused terrible damage to herself to be pretty for someone who only wanted to degrade and devalue her. It would not be for the paleness of her skin or her weight that Mallie would begin to believe herself beautiful. No, it would be because of the strong women that Mallie would come to meet on Cor’terrae in the following years. Such female role models, who were themselves covered in scars and had self-esteem issues that they fought with every day. Lady Milistree, Queen Vincentia, General Lianna, and Lianna’s partner, Lady Caycee, gave the young woman confidence that Mallie had never had. They helped her understand that she did not have to be perfect to be invaluable. The news would come to her at 20 from Joscelin that her mother Nilec had murdered James with her own hands. The secret was free, the silence now gone. But even with James dead, she could not bring herself to return for good to Dire Cry. At 23 Kallion came to her to see how she fared and they decided they would remain only friends. But he was doing well and so was she. Hearing he had a son she decided there was little to keep her on her world. And so now she travels worlds alone…

These symbols are snow white against his skin and flare bright when the Prince uses the magics given by his faith in and shared blood of Reinn Anon.Ellaern with their average height of 6’2 have 0.8 the bone density of humans, allowing for this increased height with lower body mass in an environment with 70% the gravity of Earth. They have elongated limbs and a longer thorax with an unusually skinny frame that makes them appear lean and almost spindly. Their joints are loose (highly flexible) and some are even naturally hyper-extended, (which lowers the strength in the limbs if being used past a 180 degree angle.)Weapons & Abilities:Rapier - The heir has been taught how to fight with a fencing sword, more suited to the weaker strength, and quicker reflexes of his species. As of the last fifty years his parent Joscelin has been training him secretly in how to wield the Nyamese Miljem, Dual Curved blades that have a double-edged design only used by Ellearn Blade Dancers.Priestly/Light Magics - Kcri can heal himself and others, bless his comrades, and grant otherworldly sanctuary through faith in his Deity. He also has control over the Winds/Storms and can both attack and defend with the holiest of light, that of the Heavens.Empathetic Ability - Prince Kcri was born with incredibly strong empathetic capabilities. He is quite attuned to the waxing, and waning of all intelligent-sentient beings close to him, and he is able to give his own emotions to others in exchange for their own. Ex: Taking on the sorrowful memory of another for a short-time, Kcri would grant the other person one of his joyful memories in return to give them relief from distress.Travel Methods: Kcri uses the power of Holy Light that is his birth-right to travel worlds.Sexuality: Gay.Occupation: Heir to of the throne of the Holy Camar’ian EmpirePersonality:Kcri tries to always be a happy, kind soul, someone far more prone to laughter and smiles than silence, and frowning. He is the type to try to make friends with everyone he meets, but he will back down if his persistence is seen as irritating. He does not suffer from self-esteem issues, though the Prince does try to not appear overconfident in his abilities. The heir is known for filling the silence with his soft singing, or humming if there is no wish for conversation. Otherwise, it is far more likely that he will be chatting up a storm with whoever is willing to lend an ear to him. Sharing whatever brings him joy was something Kcri learned young in the hopes of breaking the silence of his often-somber family members.Old enough to realize that sometimes people humor him only because he is their Prince, Kcri will become quite embarrassed. Taking on the look of a kicked puppy, he will try to tactfully, physically withdraw, or move on to another topic to get out of the awkward situation.Self-sacrificing, he is not afraid to make difficult decisions for the sake of his people, and the Empire. Neither is he afraid of getting his hands dirty in the name of helping others, and his first instinct is to run toward that burning building. Kcri’s childhood created an altruistic, and somewhat too trustful, Sovereign to be.
BackgroundSovereign Joscelin II and King Rene Durand wanted their heir to be raised as Ellearn children were meant to be raised. This meant that Kcri would have a lengthy childhood. They wanted for him to be free from the mental strains, and tragedies that had followed nearly every other member of the family over the last several generations.
Yet this wish was not as easy to do, as it was to say.Prince Kcri was born with very strong empathetic abilities, far stronger than the natural empathy of the Ellearn species. Able to feel quite acutely the joy, and suffering of those around him, this shaped his personality, young. As a babe, when Kcri’s sister, Siliv, who could not cry, (damaged vocal cords,) was hungry, he would cry for her, and when she was hurt, he would scream for her because he felt that pain.Kcri was quite inquisitive, and with control of the winds from the God of Storms, he would manage to activate the seals surrounding the teleportation circles in the Castle. From there he would make his way to Dire Cry to visit his Father, Rene, (a vampire,) who was sleeping the day away in his coffin. His nursemaid, an ancient Ellearn of the sacred homelands became his companion on these impromptu trips.Kcri realized that most were not like him, but he ignored that, though it was confusing to him. At most, there were perhaps fifty or so Ellearn within the Castle, depending on the season. The Prince matured physically, and emotionally slower than any of the children at the Castle. So his friends are largely adults, those close to his family who would not make fun of him for maturing slower.Kcri’s sister Siliv runs away when he is 13, as she has not been very happy for years beforehand. He tried to help, doing what he could, always being her voice, but Siliv left after some humans hurt her. Unable to understand the loss, Kcri would turn more emotive, afraid others would leave too. It would be six years before Siliv would return to tell him that she was alright, but even so, she still did not wish to stay. The shinning child begged to understand why his sister hurt so, but Siliv kept her pains to herself, again. In his thirties, Lady Lianna Ebonhart died of old age in her late 80’s, the first death of someone close to him. Only ten years later Lady Caycee, Lady Lianna’s wife would die of old age. Sir Val Filibert, a Half Ellearn Sovereign Guard would be killed in battle in Kcri’s late fifties. In response to these losses, he becomes a sullen, awkward, and distant adolescent, trying to understand death when he is immortal. It is around this time that Kcri begins to see that his parents are not happy with their arranged marriage. Yet, the youngster is unable to handle any more sadness, and he disillusions himself, going out of his way to avoid seeing or knowing the truth of his parents' hatred for each other. The worst hit comes in his eighties when his aunt Gadarine dies of old age. With Gadarine’s death, her young, (oh so very young,) Ellearn wife, Iardacil, completes her ‘Ebbing,’ and dies from the loss of her wife. Mortals dying hurt, especially close ones, but seeing his kin die for the first time shakes the young Prince hard. Kcri begins to avoid his family, and goes into the city with just his ancient nursemaid, Melisandre, against the wishes of his parents. He wants to know why they have denied him the ability to go among the people. His first trip introduces him to the idea of poverty (beggars), disease, (the poor dying,) and disregard for death, (hastily dug and uncared for graves.)If not for Melisandre, the heir may have very well shattered his mind from the overwhelming suffering that surrounded him, and his horror and distress. She cried with him in his sadness, holding him to her and explaining to him what she could. But at heart, the ancient Ellearn could not understand why humans suffered so, and Kcri’s sorrow turned to frustration and outrage. For the first time, Joscelin and his son’s words were clipped as the Sovereign worried about Kcri who had snuck out into the city. Driven by the emotions of the diseased and dying, the argument turns heated and Kcri flees. This time he would go into the city alone, deep into the slums where the children of Gadarine and Iardacil lived. They would take him in, trying to help him understand, and introduce him to human life. Joscelin with advice from Melisandre, and Lord Riq'ua, allows Kcri his time. When the heir comes home after a few weeks, he is dirty and his clothes a little bloody. He explains that his cousin Landris had taught him how to stitch wounds, make healing teas, and care for the sick and dying. The young one’s eyes are old. This prompts the Sovereign to take his son aside as Joscelin begins to cry, something that Kcri could not remember seeing before. Yet, Kcri states quite boldly that he wants to go back, he wants to keep helping, no, he needs to learn how to help more. Joscelin is hesitant, but seeing the strength in those powder blue eyes, the Sovereign is reminded of his own mother’s stubborn and willful altruism and relents. Kcri would be accompanied into the city by Sir Castillean, the Ellearn Commandant of the Sovereign Guard, who was trained in field triage. Through the rest of his adolescence, Kcri would spend more time in the slums, and ghetto of the capitol, than in the Castle. Joscelin would begin to gruelingly train his son in swordsmanship once an attempt on Kcri’s life is barely averted.By his age of maturity, Kcri has seen more death than most Ellearn would see in their entire lifetime. He knows that Joscelin feels as though he has failed in his original intention of safeguarding his son’s childhood. The Prince reassures his Hara, reminding him that the decisions of his life were made by him alone. Ultimately Kcri grew up with a loving family who has never done him harm, which is more than many have. The Prince decides to take a Brún Knight, a common warrior who will be given a title for prowess in swordsmanship. Aud Grim, a bastard-born Grimhorn wins the tourney, and becomes Kcri’s bodyguard. Opposite as they are, Kcri can twitter, and talk forever as Aud keeps his observant silence. Yet, when Kcri falls into uncharacteristic quiet, Aud will give the other a shoulder nudge asking his prince quietly what is wrong. They appear inseparable, but no one would consider them friends if they did not see the two in private. The Prince sexually learns about himself with his Knight first, yet Aud pushes Kcri away. A King with a bastard? No. Regardless of Kcri’s best intentions, Aud stands firm even as the Prince yells, sobbing. Aud stares him down like stone while inside the Knight’s heart is torn to shreds by his convictions.Kcri brushes off the concern of those close to him and goes about arranging a political marriage for himself. With Aud’s dissolution of what they had previously, Kcri picks up the pieces to his broken heart, waiting enough time for the sting to lessen if only a little. He knows the Empire needs to renew old alliances and gain anew so he will marry a foreign royal. Joscelin is concerned, however, that whoever Kcri will marry will manipulate and overshadow the young Sovereign’s authority. But the day of Kcri assuming the throne draws nearer, and he wants what is best for his people, so he will marry for the state, not for love. After all, the one he thought he loved…doesn’t even want him.

Being born both Ellearn and Vampire, Siliv’s body wars against itself, as on Cor'Terrae, to be at once living, and undead should not be possible. This inner warfare will one day kill her unless she chooses to become a full Vampire, sacrificing any chance of an afterlife.Sex: FemaleCurrent Age: 20Height: 5’11 feet.
Weight: 120 pounds.
Hair: Albino White hair of varying lengths, usually short.
Eyes: Mercury Pink.
Skin: Albino white.

They have elongated limbs and a longer thorax with an unusually skinny frame that makes them appear lean and almost spindly. Their joints are loose (highly flexible) and some are even naturally hyper-extended, (which lowers the strength in the limbs if being used past a 180-degree angle.) This bone density does not lower Siliv’s’s strength because of her unnatural Vampiric abilities.
Weapons & Abilities:Still Painting: Born of the spirit of a Still Painter, Siliv has the power to summon a canvas, and paint brush to hand at will. These tools are part of her soul, and cannot be destroyed until she is dead. With these instruments a Still Painter can create or destroy nearly anything…If given the time to complete the painting.
Siliv cannot effect herself with this ability, and when used against deities or powerful magic users, it may be resisted.Travel Methods: Siliv uses her paintings to step between worlds, painting a scene, and tapping the surface three times. She will then be teleported to a world with such an environment.Sexuality: Asexual (Siliv does not feel physical attraction for others, but is pansexual in regards to romance. No sex, just love and cuddles.)Occupation: Artist and Wanderer.Personality:Siliv as an adult is usually someone who watches the world go by instead of being part of it. She will occasionally step out of her little bubble to hand someone a drawing or a painting, usually of themselves. She enjoys watching people and places and putting them on her canvas. As she is mute, Siliv does not go out of her way to ‘speak’ to people, as few worlds have a language system that does not require sound. She will attempt to keep her vampiric nature to herself for as long as possible, usually only venturing out and about in the evening or the night. She does not actively seek people to take blood from, usually, Siliv will hunt down an animal in the wilderness and keep its blood with her. This way, she just mixes it with drinks and can mimic a sense of being alive. There is a bitterness at her core, yet still, there remains a youthful fascination. Siliv has never understood the appeal and emphasis on sex and family life. She won't be pressured into a relationship. There is anger deep down at what people have put her through, yet she still holds herself back, not wanting to do what many have always thought she would, kill them all. There is this whisper inside that says,'I’m not a monster,’ even if she has her doubts. There was no choice in what Siliv was born, but she will choose what she becomes, and that will not be a murderer.
BackgroundDaughter of the Royals of two separate empires, Joscelin and Rene, Siliv is Half Ellaern and Half Vampire. Her being a Dhampir, (Half Vampire,) nearly killed Joscelin whilst they were pregnant with her. She required not normal nourishment but Joscelin’s blood to grow within. Joscelin realized this but was unwilling to do what had to be done and they stubbornly ignored their failing health. From this loss of the blood that she needed to survive, Joscelin was finally force-fed blood so both of them could make it to the birthing. This traumatized Siliv’s parent and left Joscelin deeply depressed. With the birth, this depression only worsened, so consequently they have never been close. Siliv was born with damaged vocal cords, unable to cry at birth, and only able to make pitiful, guttural sounds. She would never be able to speak. Albino like Rene was, white as snow and that became her moniker, Siliv, white. Born heir to the Holy Camarian throne, her being partially un-dead cursed her in the eyes of both the nobility and common folk. The babe was not safe even in her cradle, the royal nursery no sanctuary when guards turned a blind eye to nursemaids refusing to feed the Princess the blood she needed, and other such neglect.Rene would take Siliv with him back to Dire Cry, as a vampire himself he trusted better his servants with his daughter. There Rene and his mother Nilec took care of her for nearly three years, only bringing her back to the Camarian Empire once Joscelin had a second child. No longer heir, Siliv was safer, and an ancient Ellearn, Lady Melisandre offered to care for the toddler. With this woman, Siliv was safe and Joscelin would slowly start to interact with her as they spent time with the new heir, Kcri too.As Siliv grew, memories returned of magic and chaos, rage and pain. A dream of blinding light and translucent hands, she remembers that before being born she had been a ghost. Another little girl with powers of the Gods was dragged into a terrible war, wielding brush and canvas. But there had been purple eyes, and a beautiful voice whilst she had been dead. She told Rene about the war, and the ghost and she had summoned her paintbrush and canvas to her. Part of her very will, these tools could be used to create and destroy nearly anything. She was a Still Painter, a being given a sliver of the God of Chaos, a monster that mothers scared their children with at night. Rene would tell Joscelin who would kneel before their daughter to teach her to fear her powers and to hide them from everyone.
Siliv grows up reserved, only becoming animated with family. Her best friend becomes Lady Melisandre’s son Kofi, a Half Devil who has his secrets. He shows her his true form and she lets him see her paintings, and she finds comfort in his hugs. She distrusts the light of those who had once tried to kill her, being drawn to the darkness. As an adolescent she is cornered during the daylight hours, and taught to never use her powers to harm, she is severely beaten. It is to Kofi she goes to, and he gives her a maniacal grin, for he has no qualms about taking lives.Rene and Joscelin argue, as they always had, yet this time they were yelling at one another over her. She retreats further into her shell, hiding from the world, and it is only for Kofi, and her brother Kcri that she gives a smile. But she cannot live like this, in a place where she is never safe. Where she is unwilling to use her powers to kill, if only because of her fears of family backlash. In a physical show of detachment from her past, she hacks her waist-length hair to nothing. The albino has given up on ever being accepted on her world.Shortly thereafter Siliv flees the world of Cor’Terrae, using her paintings to step between worlds. She refuses to go ‘home,’ to a place where she will be hunted down and further hated by people who have made her life hell. Even the love of her family is not enough, so she continues to paint the worlds she wishes to see. But even in unknown lands, she hides what she is, and only observes as others live the lives that she has always wanted for herself, but has always been denied.

Tal'Tha'Lass is deeply depressed and attempts to hide it behind a stoic face. He has chosen to Ebb Away, which is the Ellearn version of taking one's own life. He has refused his immortality and now is as mortal as mankind. He has only a human lifetime left to live.He hopes to die protecting someone, anyone...
BackgroundHis father was the heir to House Haeviel, one of 12 great Ellearn Houses. These individuals sat upon the Ellearn High Council and ruled the Mellimdisiel. These Houses were also the main bastions of defense against outside forces. His Mother was 'Talentless', someone who lived upon the charity of others. When Tal'Tha'Lass's Father died in combat, his mother began to Ebb Away. Ellearn suicide. She gave their son to the Blade Dancing Academy and her soul faded.Tal'Tha'Lass was named Jade for the color of his eyes when he became enraged. They were not allowed outside contact. The Blade Dancing training was secretive as they did not want any humans learning the fighting style. At around ninety ( ten years old) Tal'Tha'Lass made contact with and friends of a human hunter that had become lost in the Mellimdisiel's deep forests. With a child's ignorance, he shared what he was learning and paid the price.Found out, he was made to leave the Blade Dancers. But even worse, he was disgraced, his ears sheared to show his crimes, and banished from the Mellimdisiel. The hunter was the only person Tal could run to and the man Oddr took the child in. Tal'Tha'Lass was brought to the man's home in the Camarian province of Grimhorn. Where he remained until Oddr's natural death thirty years later, by this time Tal'Tha'Lass was already feeling less Ellearn and far more human. He was trained in the bow by Oddr, with his father's bow being a distant dream. It being seventy pounds, alone to hold!Tal'Tha'Lass began to travel the Camarian Empire after Oddr's death and it is around one hundred and fifty that he decides to Ebb Away. With his banishment and the continual reminder of his shame in his sheared ears and the refusal of other Ellearn to note his presence, he is deeply Depressed. It is only romantic love that has given him more time than a singular human lifetime. Falling first in love with a human apprentice he had taken and lived with them until their natural death and the love of a monk who dies in combat. His love for Prince Joscelin Quele Ante becomes embittered as he knows the heir to the Camarian throne, who is Ellearn, could never be with him. Leaving the Camarian capitol as Prince Joscelin marries a foreign prince, Tal'Tha'Lass does not sugarcoat the fact that he is fleeing from a broken heart. But it is here and now that he tries again to move on, exploring lands unknown. Hopeful of finding someone worth protecting once again. To die in combat protecting someone he loves instead of in bed, having given up entirely on this world and those who live in it.

Weight: 150 pounds.
Hair: Long white hair.
Eyes: Blue
Skin: Pale.
Other Physical Details:Osei appears to be finely thin, like a rail some would say. His bones are not as thick as a human’s due to his Ellearn heritage.Weapons & Abilities:Shape-shifting: Osei has three forms.Full Devil Form – A Humanoid Arachnid.Half Form – Six red eyes dominate his upper face. His form appears to be made of black ink that would gradually form three sets of other legs, and three sets of other arms. Spirits can use his body as a medium to interact with the living world.Hand-to -Hand Fighting: Osei knows various styles of hand-to-hand fighting and is confident without a weapon.Travel Methods: Osei uses the power of the Void or ‘The Darkness’ that is his innately, being a Half Devil, someone with a Soul void of all light.Sexuality: PansexualOccupation: Spirit Medium, Osei attempts to solve the murders of various spirits left in the living world and help those left behind pass on.Personality:Osei has lived long enough that he has little time for politics or half-truths/lies. He appears to be almost nonchalant about life, laid back in both appearance and stance. Few things appear to bother him at first. But there is a fine line to his uncaring demeanor. If something will tip the balance in the eternal war of Light against Darkness, he has personal stack in bringing it back to neutrality as his father is the Devil of Wrath and his Mother is an Ellearn Noble. So if Hell or the World fall, he loses someone he loves on either. He has never been deeply in love. Osei realizes this is because he keeps an emotional distance from the living due to his ties with Hell. He does not trust that someone will accept him for what he is without betraying him and getting him killed for his Demonic Heritage. He also stays away from his mother in hope that the Ellearn nobility will not figure out what he is. This way his mother remains safe. Due to these things he can fall into bouts of melancholia (or he has what we call Depression.)Osei takes his work as a Spirit Medium quite seriously and has often taken the law into his own hands. He has killed those who murdered the spirits that use his body as their only means of justice and often vengeance. He is always open to any spirits in the area using his body as a means of protection from living or dead forces.Osei worships Rina'Lin, the Goddess of Joy, Music and Memories as she is the Divine of Music, Ghosts and the Soul. Children are most prized by her and spirits of children will always find help and extreme vengeance with him.
BackgroundBorn to Lady Melisandre Vaial in year 1305CE. Osei was born wrapped in an ink like darkness that caused the midwife be very uneasy as Ellearn held no Light or Darkness in their hearts or souls. They were born and lived as Twilight or Starlight. Melisandre found that with his first bath, the baby lost the outward darkness and was able to introduce him to her family without issue. His powers manifested the first time he was hurt, and his eyes turned red as he gained two more sets of such eyes on his face. Melisandre remembered then looking at her child the night she had shared with a strange and beautiful man that she had previously forgotten. So she gave her son an additional name, ‘Iru’ after the Devil of Wrath who was called Karikura'iru. The Devil of Wrath came to visit Melisandre and their son reluctantly at first. Worried that Melisandre would hate him for what he was and what he had hidden. He had actively seduced the Ellearn not out of spite or in order to have a child but because he had seen her loneliness from across the ballroom floor. Karikura wished to give her a bright memory to break her melancholia. Learning of why he had done so, Melisandre gave him a second chance at being with her and both fell deeply in love with one another.Osei grew up hiding what he was and what his father was too. He did not see Hell until his adult years when his Father brought him there asking for him to serve under him. Osei hated it. The constant conflicts on the level of Wrath were exhausting and Osei wanted nothing to do with war or battle ever again. So instead, his family in Hell, those of his Aunts and Uncles had him become a spy instead. He would bring back to them word of what was happening upon the Mortal Plane. It was not a job he relished either and he would go out of his way to doctor the news he brought to them. As he quickly realized that in the War of Light and Darkness he had much to lose. He had personal stack in neutrality. As, if Hell or the World fall, he would lose someone he loved on either.During his travels of the Mortal Plane/The World of Cor’terrae, he finds out that he is a Spirit Walker. Someone who can touch and speak to spirits, someone that could bring them justice and peace.During the Scourge War Osei became personally involved when the spirit of Prince Thom Royale came to him, asking for refuge within his body. Thom told him about what had happened to Prince Drefan Royale, the man who was turning the Mortal Plane into an undead graveyard. Thom pleaded with Osei to help his brother’s shattered soul and in doing so, save the world.Osei realizing the danger that Drefan presented to not only his Mother, but the World would agree without understanding what had to be done to do so. Thom spoke of the power of forgiveness, but Osei knew that a soul that had shattered in the Abyss would not understand forgiveness. That soul had to be saved from the Abyss before forgiveness could be given. But to enter the Abyss one had to be broken, having had their mind shatter into hundreds of pieces. So Osei returned to Hell and asked his Father to Shatter him. Karikura refused but once he understood the danger to Melisandre he reluctantly agrees to do so. Osei is sent spiraling into the Abyss where he expects to drown in the deep seas like all who have gone mad. But because of his heritage as one who is half Devil, he controls the tendrils of his darkening sanity. Back on the Mortal Plane, Thom is there to re-enter Osei’s body. They then begin the journey of bringing Drefan’s shattered soul back from the deep seas, up the jagged mountains and into sanity. It is only because of Osei and Thom that when Nathanael falls to his knees before Drefan, forgiving the Lich for everything the man had done is Drefan able to return to stability and clarity. Without their help, Drefan would have been too lost, too deep. So they played a silent role, asking for no one's thank you's.With Drefan stopped, the world was saved. Osei would go back to traveling, helping the dead and staying out of politics. But his acceptance into the Quele royal family after the Scourge War has made his spying much easier these days.

How many other bearers were there? But what made him wake up at night was the 10 years he had where his life had been good. Sure he had been ill all those years too, but that had not gotten in the way of his happiness. The nightmare that sat on his breast was his father who recoiled when the boy healed him of an injury. The nightmare where Peter would go white and sickened by his own child he gives his ‘Bearer son’ into slavery.10 years passed.Branded. He has been overused. Stretched thin. Left with an ankle of stone and a wrist that is suffering the same. Nerves frayed and abused. But he won’t stop helping. He’s a fool because people make impossible demands of him, but he also pushes himself too far as well. He cannot help it. He wants to help even if those around him see him as nothing more than an inconvenient instrument. Something to be used and discarded.
Nathanael does not know how it came to be that he was among a pack of bearers that were saved. But he was. So he lives in the Hideaway, still pushing himself. He helps Tarja even if that means he has to largely stay seated. He can bandage and stitch, learning from her. He is a stubborn git who won’t rest unless he has had the opportunity to help. He is ill still, his lungs. It is his mother who keeps him going, or at least, the vision of her in his mind’s eye. That saw her sobbing as she found out about her son’s abilities and watched Peter drag the boy out the front door. Was this what she had wanted? Will he ever know?…“Do you know I could break beneath the weight?
Of the goodness, love, I still carry for you” - Hozier.
Baldurs Gate
Nathanael was born to the Quele noble family in Baldurs Gate. As a child, he suffered from Whopping Cough which was ultimately healed by a Cleric of Torm. However, the disease left him with a collapsed, right lung that was irreversible. His family was close to the Royale Noble family. Nathanael grew to know the family worshipped Velsharoon (God of Necromancy) in secret. Terrified of the family's undead experiments he said nothing. As a teenager, Drefan Royale came to the Quele's about his family's plans to attack the shrine of Torm with their undead. Under a zone of truth spell, he admitted that he had taken part in the experimentation and that he and his brother, Thom worshipped Myrkul (God of the Dead.)When the Quele's threatened to out to the authorities the entire Royale family including Drefan and his brother, Drefan lost it and attacked. This slaughter left only 12-year-old Nathaneal alive. He would flee to the shrine of Torm. The Royale family would be killed and Nathanael was raised at the shrine. He did not know what happened to Drefan or Thom as both had fled the city.Nathanael was taught the basics of one-handed combat and healing magic. As a young man, Nathanael made the choice to become a cleric of Ilmater (The God of Compassion), wishing to only help and heal others as he had seen enough violence in his life already. He takes on the suffering of others and heals them, taking to the poor and destitute. Only asking for room and board in exchange for the healing. Nathanael does this work out of a need to forgive himself as he blames himself for the death of his family.Traveling now outside of Baldurs Gate he hopes to find his childhood friends, Thom and Drefan. Then maybe he can forgive Drefan for the deaths of his loved ones."I've carried the crosses, too many to deal with
I know the daunting truth and its cries
Carry the losses, always surrounds me
Keeping their memory forever alive."
